Alcoholics and drug addicts may come to alcohol rehab anxious, broken and sick and tired of being sick and tired. No matter what state they’re in, our highly qualified staff is here to assist them with the disease of alcoholism and addiction through a broad range of programs. We start with residential detox when necessary. Inpatient residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs are also available. In addition, because we’re focused on lifelong success for our clients, family support and trauma recovery are an important part of our program. At Anaheim Lighthouse, alcohol rehab also includes education about the disease of alcoholism and assistance in learning life skills for successful, long-term healing. With an experienced staff passionate about recovery, a newly renovated alcohol and drug treatment facility, and a comprehensive approach, we are here to help our clients with what most likely is the challenge and opportunity of a lifetime.
Rehab for Alcohol Requires a Range of Services
An extensive assessment is made when a client arrives at Anaheim Lighthouse. Then, with a complete medical, family and drinking history, we are able to create a personal treatment plan that meets the individual needs of each person needing rehab for alcohol. If a client is in need of detox services we offer residential detox, including those in need of Suboxone. If a client has severe decompensation, we will refer them immediately to an acute facility for hospital detox services. Our residential detox services are medication assisted and managed by an independent medical doctor board certified in internal medicine, board certified as an addiction specialist and certified in the use of Suboxone.
Our alcohol and drug treatment programs include a residential component, which can be provided after detox or even if detox is not part of the treatment plan. Our drug and alcohol rehab facility is located in Anaheim, approximately 20 miles from Newport Beach and 1 mile from Disneyland. Our facility is well maintained with homelike airy rooms and provides a safe and comfortable environment for healing from the devastating effects of alcoholism. Working in groups and one-on-one counseling sessions with the support of peers experiencing the same challenges, clients begin to recover from their disease and develop new ways of thinking, behaving and coping.
Once clients receive the residential treatment portion of the program, they are dropped down to the partial hospitalization program portion. This level of care provides a minimum of 6 hours a day of treatment. Group and individual counseling sessions continue. Again, group and individual counseling sessions continue, as does the family group session portion. The client can also continue with their trauma groups and any other sessions they desire to continue. The client continues working toward the goals established in their initial treatment plan.
Once the client completes the partial hospitalization program portion of the program they are dropped down to the intensive outpatient level of care. This level of care provides a minimum of 3 hours a day of treatment. Group and individual counseling sessions continue, as does the family group session portion. The client can also continue with their trauma groups and any other sessions they desire to continue. The client continues working toward the goals established in their initial treatment plan.
The Extras in Our Alcohol Rehab Programs
Our clients value the healthy and delicious food provided in our alcohol rehab center. They thrive on the fellowship and the peer support, as well as the gym membership designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle. We teach life skills so that our clients can reintegrate successfully into work and family circles, and so that they can become productive members of society. Education is important, too. For instance, some clients don’t understand that their addiction is a biologically-based disease, centered in the brain. It is an obsession of the mind coupled with an allergy of the body. Understanding this alone is a monumental step toward building a road to recovery, self-esteem and maintaining the willingness to do what’s necessary to maintain a sober life.
Families may not understand the disease aspect of alcoholism, either. Our alcohol and drug addiction treatment program for families is designed to help loved ones understand that alcoholics are unable to make sound choices. Debilitation of the brain caused by excessive use of alcohol renders poor decisions that can result in disastrous consequences. Helping families understand their real role in the recovery of their loved ones enables them to understand the importance of their own part in the process of recovery from this family disease. We help build the support needed for long-term recovery for the client and the family as a whole.Get in touch with our Southern California drug and alcohol rehab directly.
