Intensive Outpatient Program Prepares Client for Community Life

Intensive Outpatient Program Prepares Client for Community LifeAs clients at Anaheim Lighthouse approach the time for discharge from residential treatment, our Intensive Outpatient Program paves the way. Because we are a client-centered drug addiction treatment center, we work with each individual from Day One through aftercare to develop confidence in a life free from the chains of drug and alcohol abuse. We build relationships with our clients because we care. As we walk together through the recovery journey, we help each client to restore physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. We are professionally and personally invested in establishing a trusting relationship with each client in order to create a plan that will decrease the chances of relapse once residential treatment is complete. Our Partial Hospitalization Program is the first step in encouraging our clients to think about how they will use the tools they have learned once they have completed residential treatment. They work closely with their family members, counselors and therapists to devise a plan of action. The next step forward is our Intensive Outpatient Program.

Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Abuse Explores Options

Once clients complete our residential treatment program, they will have to deal with life on life’s terms. They will return to their homes and communities to face the same choices they had to make before treatment. We want to make sure that we have equipped each client with a foundation of sobriety and the ability to make healthy choices without relying on drugs or alcohol. During the Intensive Outpatient Program

for substance abuse, we provide community resources the client can use for support. In some cases, clients may need ongoing medication to maintain stability. We help them find people who can help with medication management.  In other cases, a client’s past may have included traumatic experiences that contributed to their substance abuse problem. If they have been treated for trauma and addiction, we help them find support groups that will provide ongoing support. The solution is one alcoholic talking to another and helping each other stay sober.  We direct them to sobriety support groups, employment opportunities, doctors and dentists. We make sure they feel connected with the community so they can avoid falling into old habits, resulting in relapse.

Intensive Outpatient Program Puts Bow on Treatment Package

Drug treatment programs often make the difference between life and death for people suffering from addiction. We realize the importance of quality treatment at Anaheim Lighthouse, and we make every effort along the way to give our clients what they need, particularly the contacts and resources that will continue to support them once they finish residential treatment. Our Intensive Outpatient Program completes the package of what we have to offer. When clients come to us for help, we first place them in detox. This initial phase of treatment gives us time to assess the client’s physical, mental and emotional well-being. We work with family members from the beginning to educate them about the progressive disease of addiction. As clients progress through treatment, we help them create a plan that suits their individual needs. By the time they are approaching discharge, our Intensive Outpatient Program for substance abuse is our crown jewel. We prepare clients and their families with communication skills and community connections, all designed to help them continue growing in a substance-free life.
