Hello. My names Bill H. I came to the light house on 12/17/13,from Massachusetts. I was a suffering opiate addict. During the stay at the lighthouse i completed a 7 day detox and began my treatment. At first getting there i felt uncomfortable of not knowing my surroundings and people . By day three I felt at home and completely relieved . While staying for program I learned anger management, communication skills, how to set boundaries, and all the tools to stay an alcohol and drug free lifestyle. The staff including therapists,counselors,program directors,administration and even drivers shared their story of hope and inspiration and were willing to help you whenever needed. The food was remarkable from Kitchen staff.(Ms.Mona.) I even put on 20 pounds!!! We went to Meetings and heard other stories of recovery ,went to beach,celebrate recovery, gym on daily basis, and other fun options of outings.. It was surely the best decision I never wanted to make and the lighthouse surely turned my life around. A BIG thank you to Kristina my therapist, Tony my counselor,Bob my favorite driver,Jose my motivational man, Lesly my go to woman of staff,Danny the real deal, Jason my inspiration,Riley my sports rivalry buddy.Johnny the head of staff and most importantly Peter and Docia. I will owe you guys for the rest of my life for what you have done.. Thanks again and hope to stay in touch with all.
