What Is Green Xanax?

Green Xanax is a street name for alprazolam tablets that have a green color. There are two types of Green Xanax tablets.

The first one has 1 mg strength and is often referred to as Green Football Xanax because of its oval shape and can be identified by the imprint "S 902."

The second Green Xanax pill has 2 mg of alprazolam. It is often called Green Xanax Bar or Hulk Xanax, with an imprint of "S 903". The shape is similar to the White Xanax Bar but it's green in color and with a different imprint.

It is important to note that these green pills are not technically under the "Xanax" brand or forms of Xanax. Both of these pills are manufactured by Dava Pharmaceuticals Inc. However, they have earned the nickname "Green Xanax" because they contain the same active ingredient, alprazolam, which produces similar effects as the branded Xanax medication.

Is Green Xanax Addictive?

Yes, Green Xanax is highly addictive. Alprazolam, the active ingredient in Green Xanax, belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. These medications are prescribed to treat anxiety and panic disorders due to their calming and sedative effects on the central nervous system.

However, when Green Xanax is taken in high doses or used recreationally, it can lead to dependence and addiction. The calming effect of Xanax attracts individuals seeking relief from stress and anxiety, but over time, they may find themselves relying on the drug to function.

Dangers of Xanax Addiction

Xanax addiction poses several risks to both physical and mental health. Individuals who misuse the drug may experience Xanax withdrawal symptoms. These can include physical symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, impaired coordination, and memory problems. Long-term abuse can lead to cognitive decline, mood swings, and even respiratory issues.

Moreover, the rise of counterfeit Xanax pills laced with dangerous substances like fentanyl has further increased the dangers associated with Xanax addiction. Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid that can cause severe respiratory depression and even lead to overdose and death. Spotting fake Xanax pills is crucial to avoid such risks.

Spotting Fake Xanax

Because Xanax has become a difficult drug to get from a doctor, some individuals resort to buying street drugs, online, or other illegal sources. The problem with this is that most of these sources offer counterfeit Xanax pills which can be even more dangerous than the real ones.

To spot fake Xanax pills, it is essential to be vigilant and aware of the signs. Genuine Xanax tablets will have a consistent shape, color, and imprint. Counterfeit pills may have misspelled imprints or uneven edges. It's always advisable to obtain prescription medications from reputable pharmacies and medical professionals.
