Truly Alcohol Content – How Much Alcohol Is In Truly?

Nov 2 2022
Categories:Alcoholism

Many people enjoy a drink every now and then, but for those with a substance abuse problem, alcohol can be a deadly temptation. It's important to know just how much alcohol is in each type of drink, so you can make informed choices about your own drinking habits.

With the ever-growing popularity of hard seltzers, you may be wondering just how much alcohol is in Truly Hard Seltzer. Truly's alcohol percentage is a common question we get asked and although the answer may seem complicated, we're here to help give you a better understanding.

In this blog post, we'll give you a breakdown of the alcohol content in the two types of Truly Hard Seltzer, as well as some information on what is in a can of this beverage. Keep reading to find out more about the alcohol content in Truly Hard Seltzer.

Alcohol Content of Truly Hard Seltzer

Truly Hard Seltzer is an alcoholic beverage that is available in a variety of flavors. The alcohol content of Truly Hard Seltzer is 5% ABV or alcohol by volume. Whatever flavor you're drinking, whether it's strawberry, watermelon & kiwi, or mango, the alcohol content is the same.

But what makes Truly hard seltzer attractive to its fans is that one 12 oz can only has 1 gram of sugar and less than 110 calories. This makes it a low-calorie and low-sugar alternative to other alcoholic beverages.

Alcohol Content of Truly Extra

For people who want a stronger drink, Truly has come out with their new line of Truly Extra Hard Seltzer. These drinks have 8% alcohol by volume, which is 3% more than the original Truly Hard Seltzers.

At 8% ABV, it's good to note that Truly Extra is actually much stronger than most beers with a 4-6% alcohol percentage. If you want a lighter option than beer, Truly Extra is not the drink for you.

Is 5% Alcohol a Lot?

Truly Alcohol Content

The answer to this question is relative. For some people, 5% alcohol might be a lot because they have a low tolerance for alcohol. For others, 5% alcohol might not be enough to get them buzzed or drunk.

For perspective, 5% ABV is equivalent to the average alcohol content of many standard beers. So, if you're drinking one can of Truly (12 oz) then you're consuming the same amount of alcohol as you would if you drank one beer.

While 5% alcohol might not seem like a lot of alcohol, drinking too many cans of Truly in an hour or two can lead to drunkenness. If you want to avoid getting drunk, it's important to drink Truly (or any alcoholic beverage) responsibly by pacing yourself and not drinking too much too quickly.

Can Drinking Truly Cause Alcoholism?

There is no definitive answer to this question since everyone's body reacts differently to alcohol. However, it is possible to develop alcoholism from drinking any type of alcoholic beverage, including hard seltzers like Truly.

You might think that a sweet and fruity drink like Truly couldn't cause alcoholism, but the fact is that any type of alcohol has the potential to be addictive. If you find that you can't go without drinking Truly or if you find yourself drinking more and more cans each day, it's important to seek help from a professional.

Can I Drink Truly in Addiction Recovery?

How Much Alcohol Is In Truly

No, it is not advisable to drink any type of alcoholic beverage, including Truly, if you are in addiction recovery. If you have a history of alcoholism or alcohol abuse, it's best to avoid drinking altogether.

Many people in recovery may think that they can handle drinking alcohol in moderation, but the fact is that it's best to avoid it. If you're not yet fully recovered, even one drink can trigger a relapse. If you're struggling with alcohol abuse, we urge you to seek professional help and guidance before making any decisions about drinking alcohol again.

Seek Help from an Alcohol Addiction Specialist in California

Overall, if you're looking for an alcoholic beverage with a relatively low alcohol content and low calories, Truly hard seltzer might be a good option for you. However, it's important to remember that everyone's body reacts differently to alcohol and that drinking any type of alcoholic beverage comes with risks - including the risk of developing alcoholism and relapse.

For people in recovery from alcoholism, or for those who are struggling with alcohol addiction, it's important to talk to a specialist about the best way to maintain sobriety. There are a number of ways to get help for alcohol addiction, and seeking professional help is always the best option.
